New Eden Resolutions YC117

I don't believe in making New Year's Resolutions out here in the real world. They are a tarp I refuse to fall into. Plus, let's face it, you really should be trying to improve yourself each and every day, not just once a year. But, this is Eve, and writing a new year's resolution post is a lazy way to fill space.

So here are some of my New Year Resolutions for Eve. Year 2015 or YC117.

I SHALL
Continue the fight to see Warp Core Stabilizers regulated to Transport Class Ships and Industrial Class Ships ONLY. They have no place on any other ship class and should be immediately changed. Strangely I am not against ships, like the Venture, with them built into the function of the ship itself. I admit there is a time and place for them, on Transports and Industrial ships. But not in PvP.

I SHALL
Continue to strive to write and produce the world's greatest on-line blog about the world's greatest on-line game - Eve Online. As EVEOGANDA moves into its sixth full year I remain excited about sitting down each day to chronicle the journey of my characters, my personal journey, the mockery of those that deserve it, the adulation of those that have proven it, and the general promotion of Eve to the masses. Plus it is fun and it keeps my writing brain engaged.

I SHALL
Continue to try and build the greatest Alliance filled with the best best-in-class Corporations that New Eden has ever seen. As A Band Apart marches towards its first year anniversary we continue to work towards that goal by growing those corporations already a part of our family, attracting additional like-minded players and groups that fit into our philosophy, and providing exciting content to all players throughout the map. With arms reaching all corners of the map, ABA continues to influence and drive content in unexpected ways. We will strive to do even more in the coming year.

I SHALL
Try to provide excellence in everything I do. Both in-game and out, to promote Eve and help as many players as I can. I often fail at this goal, but I will continue to try my best to achieve better results in the coming year. My problem is often not saying "no" and taking on to many projects at once. I've tried to scale back, but it can be difficult not to want to help. This is one area where I continue to be challenged on a daily basis.

And lastly, but not leastly, in all things I shall continue to try to have fun. I've often said that when the fun left this game for me, then it would be time for me to leave. I'm still waiting for that to happen, because I am still having fun.

So much of that is because of my readers, my fellow players, those that I work with, fly with, strive with, and those that I come into contact with. So thank you for that.

This is going to be a great year.

It would be nice if we could get a polarized version of a Warp Scrambler. Some type of negative effect on your ship, but it would have the same effect on your target as the Focused Script has on a Heavy Interdictor. Maybe we can poke a friendly CSM representative to start this conversation up with the "powers that be".

But not in PvP?? Ok, I will back you just as soon as you balance that against points and webs. ALL electronic attack & defense modules are Ewar... ALL of them, nit just the ones that get you more kills.

Persoanlly, I may take up the clarion call for a Savemail... an email that records everytime a player (who is not a corpmate of the defending player) attacks someone without cover of Wardec, and the defending player, through whatever mechanic, ESCAPES with his life and ship. Give those out there in the Black fighting to save themselves from the Pirate Menace something to brag about... Then they can go on the warpath and lobby against Webs and Scrams and Disruptors as unfair!

And RIxx, I love ya man, but anti Ewar is as viable and worthwhile game mechanic as Ewar... Those you attack and destroy can get just as upset at you as those who escape you frustrate you... all's fair in love and war man... ALL is fair.

I shall continue to rage and take seriously anyone touching my WCS and afk cloaking abilities!!!
WCS have no place in pvp, I might agree there. Thus I name the activity of trying to evade being forced into pvp and killed, PVE.

What I would like to see is the removal of all warp disruptor/scrambler mechanics. Honorable players should just stay on grid, held in place by the power of their ego. That would remove the need for WCS since nobody would even want to fight those dishonourable enough to try and run. :)

While I don't agree that they should be relegated to Haulers only, I do agree that they should have a heavier penalty than they do. A stabbed ship isn't likely to need the scan res or the targeting range it loses since it's fleeing anyway. Perhaps giving it a heavier PG or CPU hit or something to make it more difficult to fit than a nano. Something like -25% shield modifier, 10 PG & 40 CPU.

I am a total noob so take this with a grain of salt but I love fitting one or two warp core stabilizers to my ship when I am exploring in my Heron and personally I don't feel like it is imbalanced. Perhaps for PvP but I feel like exploration would just be too hard sometimes without them. Low sec especially would become extremely dangerous.

Also I love the blog. Very entertaining
