Steel City Eve V

On Saturday July 25th my Wife and I will be hosting the 5th annual Steel City Eve player gathering at our home outside of Pittsburgh, PA. And you are all invited. Well, no more than 50 of you! This will be our fifth year hosting this event and while we understand the world is still in the grips of a global pandemic (and we totally get why you may not want to attend) we are going to have it anyway.

Our area here in Western PA is going green this week and life will be returning to a semblance of "normal", whatever that happens to be. Group gatherings of up to 250 people are now allowed. So we are going to be compliant with those rules. Understandably we can't possibly know what might happen between now and July 25th, so we have made some changes to how we are approaching this year's event.

Most importantly, for the first time, we are asking ALL attendees to sign up for free tickets on EventBrite. This will allow us to not only know how many of you will be attending, but also give us information we need to stay in touch with you along the way. Just in case things change between now and then.

We have not taken this decision lightly. And I want to be clear, if you have any hesitation, or a loved one that is especially at risk, please do not attend. We totally understand. However, we also understand that so many Eve events have had to be cancelled this year already and, goddammit, we need to get together!!

As usual there will be plenty of swag! Trust me, I have tons of it that was planned for Fanfest and other events - so you guys get all of it. As always it will be a casual day of hanging out at our house, talking about Eve, catching up with old friends, and making new ones. We'll be providing the food, but the event is always BYOB. We may end up playing card games, or god knows what else might happen.

We are limiting attendance at 50, so be aware that tickets are going fast already.

I hope to see you there. If you have any questions not already answered, please feel free to write me an email at rixxjavix@gmail.com

Keep the courage!
