Our team. I like doing wallpapers like this every year for the AT to highlight our pilots. I'm looking forward to flying with them tomorrow and this weekend in our matches. I have no idea how things will go, but I can tell you this much - I'm very confident in each of these players. We've practiced, we've tested, we've tried things, and we've been through a lot together. So no matter win or lose I will be proud of them all and of our team.
Personally I started playing the AT extremely casually. That first year we were barely an Alliance when we got in and we barely had time or inclination to practice. Since then we've continued to learn and improve and the team continues to grow, change, and adapt. New people come. Some people go. But our core has remained pretty steady over the last few years. That is a strength. And our new pilots are eager and willing to learn. That is also good.
As for me, I can honestly say that I have never been as involved as I have been this year. Devlin and I have worked together and it has been great to have him back in the saddle after he missed last year's Alliance Open. I don't know why exactly but this year, with the tournament back, I felt the need to become even more involved than in previous runs. It's been a good experience and I'm super excited about our chances.
Proof is in the arena. Anything can happen. That's why we play the game.
It should be an interesting weekend.
