Glorious Madness

A month from tomorrow thousands of Eve pilots will gather in Ouelletta to experience the glorious madness that is the Frigate Free For All. If you've never been to one of these, or if you are a veteran of the event, then I highly recommend that you show up and experience it for yourself. There is literally nothing else like it in all of New Eden. It is simply insane.

And I know, that sounds like bluster and promotional talk. But it isn't. Imagine if you will hundreds and hundreds of frigates flying all over, with dozens of destroyers included - buzzing all over system. Then throw some large ships that undock from time to time, or show up in system either on purpose or by mistake, then (on top of all that) throw some gangs in there that have showed up to take advantage of the situation - mistakenly believing they can survive such carnage. Yeah, getting the picture yet? Trust me, until you undock into this glorious madness yourself - you won't believe me.

And what do you have to do? Just show up, dock up, and someone will hand you a ship. That's it. There are three NPC stations in system and we've stocked them all. And we have over 15,000 of them to hand out. Over six hours of event insanity. So, don't worry, we won't be running out anytime soon. Don't PvP? No problem - grab a ship and undock. Never experienced PvP before? Don't worry, you will. This is the time to get your pew pew on. Hunt down CCP Devs. Add Rixx to your killboard. Streamers? They'll be there. Heck, who won't be?

We do ask for a few simple things.

• No podding please - let people re-ship. It makes it easier and more fun for everyone.

• No smartbombs - see above.

• No burst jammers - c'mon, fight the old fashioned way.

• And no hoarding - take a ship use a ship. Trust me, we spent the entire day after last year's event killing transport ships full of frigates. You will be noticed and marked red. Reds don't get traded ships.

Otherwise, everything is on the table. Just a word of warning to those who might be thinking of nefarious reasons to attend. Back in the early days we used to bring groups around to provide security, but as the event exploded in popularity we quickly discovered that 3-400 frigates in space at any moment is more than enough security. We point at things in local and they tend to vanish rather quickly. So be aware. My Marshal died in 15 minutes one year. It took about 20 minutes to kill a Rev. After we killed the Fax that came with him.

A month from tomorrow. Ouelletta. 16:00 until at least 22:00, although it never actually just ends.

I hope to see you there!

PS: If you'd like to show up in something fun and help keep the event interesting - please do. You are welcome. If you'd like to coordinate that, or any events within the event, for streaming or content purposes for your own stream or content - just let me know. We're open to anything. The more the merrier.

PPS: Last year we broke all the records we set the year before. So I think we can do even better this year. So don't be shy. Let's keep Fozzie busy adding up numbers. And see how big we can make that red dot on the map.
