For the 11th year in a row, Stay Frosty and A Band Apart will be hosting our annual Frigate Free For All - this time in a new location - Amamake! That's right, we'll be traveling this year to bring the largest player hosted event in all of New Eden to new shores, new players, and a new location.
This will mark my 15th annual event that started way back in 2010 with the first DeathRace through Providence. I ended up hosting three DeathRace events and several FFAs while in other organizations - so that is why this is the 11th annual version under the SF/ABA banner. As always we will have thousands of FREE Frigates and Destroyers to hand out during the event - as well as lots of very special ships undocking during the six hours. Who knows what else might happen? It can be insane when you have hundreds and hundreds of ships in space at once. Which is all part of the fun.
Over the years I've heard back from numerous pilots asking if we could hold the event in other areas of New Eden. It is a challenge, but one that we've decided to attempt for the first time. If this works the way we hope it will, we'll look to continue this in the years to come.
This post is intended as an announcement for the date, so be sure to make note of it - Saturday, March 29th from 16-22:00 in Amamake. More information will be announced as the date gets closer. As always, if you or your alliance would like to participate, make a donation, or provide special content during the event - just let me know. And, as always, we invite all content creators, streamers, and other players to attend as well. I'm excited about the new location and can't wait to pew pew with all of you in local.
More to come.
