No one said building an Alliance from scratch was going to be easy. We are veteran players and veteran Corporation Directors and, sadly, veteran Alliance members... we've seen it all. The plans for forming our own Alliance go back into last year, so this was not a spur of the moment decision. The total failscade of Co2 just happened to present us with the right timing to set it in motion.
Why should you care? Maybe you don't, but then I may not be talking to you. I might be talking to that other guy, the guy who needs a break from the lag fests of Sov Warfare, the guy whose m8s might be looking for a fresh start somewhere, or that dude whose Corporation is ready to help found something new. If you happen to be one of those guys, then Black-Mark is just what you are looking for.
I have restrained myself during the last few weeks from coming right out and flat out talking about recruitment because of all that goes into getting everything established. But the foundations have been laid, the neighbors are rapidly setting us blue, the infra-structure is up and running like a well-oiled machine... now all we need is a few solid Corporations with pilots, leaders and fighters that want to build something together.
Of all the places I've been in this universe, right now, right here, is the perfect place to build a new Alliance. We are close to Empire (2 good routes, 1 short jump), we have powerful blue allies and more coming every day, we have plenty of pew pew available (it really is a constant stream of small, medium and even large fights with an amazing variety of enemies) all with no rent, no sov and no hassles. Seriously, what more do you need to know?
We've also set up our own teamspeak server, our own forums, killboard, even a Wiki, all up and running and ready. I'd tell you more about the available infrastructure, ratting upgrades, and other stuff but those are proprietary. You'll have to be more serious about joining first.
What we don't know right now is what BLM will be when it grows up and that's where you come in. Oh sure we know we will be a PvP focused Alliance with a good strong Industrial base, that goes without saying. But what exactly does that mean? What types of gangs will we be flying? What will ultimately be the flavor of this Alliance? Those are the types of things (and much more than that) that member Corps will bring to the table. Especially founding member Corporations.
Great Alliances have been born doing exactly what we are doing right now. Will we be one of them? Only the future knows for sure, but what I do know is that we will only be as great as those that help us build it. Are you one of those people? If so, then I am most certainly talking to you.
