By the way, if you are looking for station spinning I have a work-around. Turn off CQ and open your fitting window as big as you can. You can spin your ship inside the fitting window, access your cargo, drone bays by right-clicking and... taa daa you have an old-school style hanger view. Not that different from what it looked like three years ago.
Anyway, I asked for any subject or question this morning on Twitter and here they are.
@RixxJavix How MM sucks and can't seem to break delve ?
Well now, having only been in MM for a very short time I can't really comment on it fully yet. I know the people I've met and flown with have been awesome, helpful and very professional so far. I also know that "breaking" Delve isn't really the plan exactly. In fact, MM's entire focus has changed dramatically in the past month since they moved from the north. So I'm not entirely certain they will be breaking anything, other than skulls, any time soon.
@RixxJavix Why EVE is more fun when playing naked.
My immediate reply was, isn't everything better naked? But that was being flippant, so let's take a closer look here. (But not too close, god knows when you people showered last!) I suspect that we are all naked in our pods, hooked up and wired in, but naked as a bay in the womb. So playing Eve naked would be the closest to actual game universe conditions you could get, realism wise, it would connect you to your character in ways wearing normal human clothes could not. Just remember to cover yourself when the pizza arrives.
@RixxJavix It's not necrophilia if their new clone is already activated.
I did say no subject was off-limits. Ok technically it really is still necrophilia cause the body under your sweaty chest hair is still dead. However, you might be in luck, because since they are living and breathing somewhere else - the act might no longer be a mortal sin. So your eternal soul could be safe from the flames of damnation. I'd check with your local clergy first however, since local religions may vary. They often do.
@RixxJavix Why are capsuleers all the same hieght? (or so it appears since we can't interact)
Good question as it reveals a little known fact from the archives. The Pod Capsule is a mass-produced item, each of the Empires has at least one massive on-planet facility that makes millions of pods and ships them across the universe. You don't think they have time to customize a pod just for you do you? They don't, no. So, instead, when you became a Capsuleer you became 6' 2" tall, you are the exact same height as every other Capsuleer in the universe. And you fit nice and snugly into your pod.
@RixxJavix Question for your blog, Why is my pod goo so, well, gooey?
"Goo" is technically known as Zero-Space Inertial Gravity Force Protective Energy Disbursement Fluid (ZIG-FPEDF for short). It needs to be "gooey", or more accurately thick and sticky, to protect your precious clone meat sack from the harsh environment of space, the incredible forces of warp energy and sudden unexpected warp disruption. Not to mention gate activation. Without that goo, you would be goo.
@RixxJavix oh another one, where's the baƱo in my CQ?
It is right around that nasty transparent glitch in the far left corner across from the yellow broken code box floating near the lag-induced "unable to render" sign. Pfft, everyone knows that!
@RixxJavix Where do you get all of those crazy, yet wonderful hats?
If you hadn't noticed yet, Rixx is very special. As a special person, one might even say Very Important Person, he has his own private Aurum store. It is stocked with all the future silly, non-essential items that CCP will be trying to sell empty-souled Capsuleers at some point. Mostly these items seem to be what some might consider, "silly hats". And so, Rixx sports a new hat each and every day to remind all of us what is in store.
@RixxJavix do U think CCP should allow MT items 2 B destroyed @ podding? If so, do U think they would soften their HTFU attitude?
It makes total sense to me that a monocle or other item that is directly transfixed onto your body would be destroyed when you get podded, I can't imagine a reason it would get cloned with you. Clothes, ties, slippers, pick underwear and especially hats, would probably be left behind in your closet, since you are in your pod all nekkid. (See above) And no, I don't think they will soften their HTFU attitude, at least I hope they never do. Eve is harsh and I like it like that.
Thanks to everyone who participated. I may do this more often.
