Solo PvP Ships Ranked

So where is the Tristan? I limited each tier to only six ships - which means there are plenty of good ships, like the Tristan, that did not make the cut. In the current meta the Tristan has lost some of its historic luster. Sadly, but it is the truth. It is increasingly difficult for any T1 Frigate to not only find solo content, but survive it once it has been found. That is just the reality of Eve today. So what I tried to do was create five tiers and rank the six best ships at each of those parameters. All-Around ships, like the Comet, perform under a very, very wide window of engagement. As do the other ships on the list. Those engagement windows are different for each one of these ships, but they are all very wide. And the Hecate makes it because it also can probe. Wild Banshee Indians

Whenever my brother and I would run around like crazy people, our Mother would say, "You two are like a pack of wild banshee Indians." The Internets say, "A banshee Indian is an Indian mythical female spirit whose wailing or appearance warns a family that one of them will soon die. Before a death occurs, the Indian banshee will go wailing and clapping hands: if the death is of a holy person, a whole chorus of banshees will wail." Ok fine, I believe everything I read on the Internets. I don't think my Mom seriously thought my brother and I were harbingers of death, at least I hope not. I suspect what she was on about was the sounds we were probably making. When you are a kid these sounds are normal, but when you grow up and have children of your own - well then you know exactly what kind of Hell your own parents lived through. The Massive Rixx Graphic Timeline!

You can also download a PDF of the above graphic . I did not start out to create a massive timeline of my 17 years in Eve Online, I really didn't. But a couple of things that have happened over the past month lead me to out this together. Obviously one was being at Fanfest and sharing stories both during my Player Presentation and with people both at Harpa and at other locations. This got me thinking about my history in the game. And then recently someone asked me about a piece I created for them over a decade ago and I had to go digging through the archives to find it. And while digging I wandered off looking at all the stuff I've created over the past almost two decades. It's a lot. And then I thought, I should write a new page on Eveoganda detailing all of this in an easy to follow format. And so I started working on that idea. Miner Anger

When you've been responsible for explosively ejecting over 16,000 players from their ships, you tend to notice some larger trends. And while no one in Eve Online is happy about losing a ship by force - few players tend to be as angry as miners. And look, I totally get it, you are out in space just trying to do your job - relax after work or whatever - and along comes some a-hole to ruin your day. And if he happens to be alone, that process can take a painfully long time to complete. It can take almost 10 minutes for my Astero to do 22,800 dps. That is painful. For both of us. Thing is, just like you, I'm out in space to do my job as well. And I'm playing Eve to relax after work or whatever, just like you. It's just that my job involves explosively removing people from their ships. What you don't know is that for every one of you I do manage to catch, I've probably missed 3-4 others. Playing Catch Up

Last week was not only Memorial Day here in the US, but I also took some personal time to go and visit my Father. So I decided to take the opportunity provided by a short week to take a break from blogging and posting on social media (at least at my normal level) and take care of the many things that need done in the real world. It is good every so often to just step away and take a deep breath. Especially from social media these days. What a wasteland that world has become.
