Here in the US tomorrow is our Thanksgiving Holiday. A celebration of the destruction of entire tribal cultures and the dominance of European expansionism across the North American continent. We celebrate our victory by eating traditional native foods and slapping each other on the back about how thankful we are we didn't lose. Or something like that.
In that spirit however, I'd like to extend some well meaning thanks around the Eve Universe. I'll be visiting relatives tomorrow and won't be around much in the next few days, so here we go:
I give thanks to all Stay Frosty pilots.
Past, Future and Present. Thanks for coming along on this crazy adventure and for giving me a renewed sense of fun in this insane game of ours. All of you are a constant source of amazing creativity and daring. I still find it hard to believe so many people share my belief in how to play Eve. We are really just getting started and more await us. Thanks for playing.

I wish I could name you all individually, but you should know who you are. This is a great gang and you guys keep me going on a daily basis. Sometimes I think the people here care more about my life and well being than the real people I know out here in real life. And while that might seem sad to some, it actually isn't. Thanks.

(1) The great Eastern Tribes were still whole and hale at this point in history.
(2) We broke bread WITH them to give thanks to God that the small colony had survived and thrived against the adversity of the voyage, which was, in those days an incredibly deadly undertaking, and having found and created food and shelter from what was then also a very real and ecidedly deadly wilderness, and to give thanks, at that time, for the new friends we had made.
(3) Lastly I don't know about YOU, but I celebrate with traditional foods my kith and kin have eaten since 1648 when my first ancestors set foot in Virginia, with no intent or plan to wipe out ANYONE.... We have turkey yes, but wild turkey and also wild venison I hunted myself, and fish caught in the prime of summer from the Chesapeake Bay and frozen till fall. And we celebrate family and togetherness and LIFE... not death and loss and destruction.
I realize (hope?) your post above was a little tounge-in-cheek... and I'm not 'hating' on you for it even if it was as sincere as a assplosive vest wearin' Jihadist... but I celebrate Thanksgiving the same way I do Christmas, the Forth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day and all the other 'days'... with family n friends and with thankfulness to Whomsoever is sitting at that great keyboard in the sky coding THIS 'verse we all share in the Real.
And hoping he too doesn't listen to close to the prayers and petitions of the selfcentered and the small minded... the same way I pray the Gods of New Eden on High (you listening CCP Devs?) hopefully don't either...
