As of February 1st, 2025 the Rixx Store has finally closed it's doors and is unable to accept any further orders.
The store opened in July 2022 and was set-up to solve some fundamental issues that the community had always faced - insane international shipping costs. To that end I selected the highest quality solution I could find that also came with a solution to that issue, or at least a better solution to that issue. The provider I selected had over 30+ international locations from which posters would be printed, as close to the final destination as possible. This not only lowered shipping costs, but also often meant lower taxes, fees, and other costs as well. But that kind of quality solution isn't cheap. And mix that with the monthly website fees, credit card interest rates, and other fees... well, that starts to add up over time.
I want to thank CCP Games for giving me the opportunity to run the store and offer my art to the community. CCP never once interfered in the process or made any demands on the art. In fact they were my largest customer, often ordering posters for charity, or stream giveaways, or player event support. One year they even ordered an Eve calendar for every single CCP employee for the holidays. So they've been nothing but great partners in this journey. And extremely supportive.
And somewhere out there in the world are 1,585 Eve art posters that I created, hanging on someone's walls. And honestly, that is extremely awesome. Thank you to each and every one of you that ordered from the store.
I'm glad I got the chance to do it. And to create some truly epic pieces that helped me explore my art, my techniques, and my vision and share it with you all. I won't be stopping any time soon. As my recent experience with the board game has shown me, there are more opportunities out there to explore.
