I've been awarding prizes for each of the 100th kills long the road to 100k. Which I think we should hit here in about two months or so. That mark has been a long-time goal of mine for the group. And I'm incredibly proud of each of our members for their hard work and sacrifice in helping to get us all here so close to the milestone. And it will be a huge win for everyone who has ever flown under our banner these past twelve years.
From the very beginning the pressure to expand our capabilities has been ever present. It would have been easy to fold and start playing the same game that others have chosen to play. But that was never my intention and under my leadership I've managed to keep our original goals alive across the years. And those goals are simple - to maintain our pirate play-style, live up to our Code, and practice and perfect the art of individual combat. Solo together. This hasn't always been easy and many of our friends inside the game grew frustrated by this dedication to the art of piracy, eventually moving on from our group to "bigger and better" things. Over the years thousands of players have flown with us, some stay, some leave, but Stay Frosty remains. And almost all of those players remain friends and family, no matter where their own journey takes them. That is just the way things are.
Our group was never intended to be for everyone. And it isn't. We keep it small on purpose. That was a lesson I learned the hard way from experience back in the early days when we grew fast to almost a thousand members. You can't feed that many mouths in our environment, without paying a cost. And no one ends up happy about it. So we learn and move on.
It must be working. The proof is in the stories, the kills, the wars, the battles both won and lost. The sacrifices written in blood, and victory. And the lessons learned in defeat and loss. No matter which side of the coin we land on - Stay Frosty has endured. Our legend has grown and our pilots are among the most talented at what they do in all of New Eden.
100,000 solo kills is an amazing accomplishment and I'll be proud to watch us pass that goal in the coming months. But the spirit and life of this group isn't about numbers. It's about flying together, helping each other succeed, and facing danger no matter the odds stacked against us. That is where the real accomplishments are. And what we should be proud of.
Onward and Upward.
