The Summer Doldrums

The above image was created for JUST in answer to a recent reward asking for us to create an album cover that encapsulated Eve Online. And while "encapsulating" Eve Online in a single image is challenging to say the least, I went in a slightly different direction. I wanted to create a sonic version that represented the sound and music of Eve Online visually. I'll leave it to others to decide if it was successful or not.

Summer in Eve is always challenging. The server numbers drop and activity is always a little lower than normal. It's a cycle that repeats every year. And right now we are in the middle of it. Once the end of August rolls around things should start returning to normal.

Even in the midst of the doldrums there remain opportunities. It just takes more work to find them and even then, sometimes, you might have no luck at all. I've personally had great days during this phase, but also days that have been extremely boring. All you can do is fight through it and find creative ways to engage with your game time. Now is a great time to fit up ships, organize your assets, and make iskies to fund your activities. There is always something to do. Or more work that needs done.

Anyway, I didn't have anything profound to share with you today. Just wanted to share the album cover and stay in touch. Outside of the game I hope you are all having a great Summer and life is treating you well.

Until next time.
