#18 With a Bullet

The other day when Saint Michael biomassed his character, he DM'd me and said he was pleased to be leaving ranked 19th in all-time Comet rankings - just behind me. I honestly never look at these, but I went over and sure enough there I am at 18th. Which made me wonder about the Astero and sure enough I'm also ranked 18th (tied) in that ship as well. Which is cool.

Not my goal, but it's still nice to be in the Top 20. I prefer to fly a lot of different ships and do different things, not all of which are always successful. But I find the variety keeps the game interesting for me, which I fear focusing on one or two ships would become tiresome after a while. Having said that, I also can't always get people to engage me when I fly other ships. So Catch-22 there. Which is why I tend to rack up more engagements in the Comet and Astero. I can literally fly around all day in a Catalyst Navy and no one will fight me, unless they have a lot of ships. And that is no fun for me.

My goal has always been to get as many ships as I can above 100 kills each. At last refresh that count stands at 38 ships out of 100. So 38% of the way there. Above 90 kills is 43. My bottom ships on that list are the Exequror, Vexor, and Ares each with 28, so those are going to be challenging. Again, none of this means a god damn thing really, it's just a game within a game to keep things interesting. Mostly I never think about this stuff and just grab a ship that feels interesting at the moment.

Lately I've been trying to figure out the Tholos and have some fun with it. And I'm still working out how the Odysseus fits into my plans. That ship is a bit pricey to just throw around. So we'll see.

Anyway, thought that was worth sharing.
