Fanfest News & Other Stuffs

I haven't been posting as much as usual. The Holidays and the New Year have been their usual busy selves. And I've been working on several other projects that have been eating up my time and mental energy over the past couple of months. Nothing Eve related sadly. But just a lot going on. Real life remains challenging in many ways as well. Interesting times here in these United States, to say the least.

With the New Year our thoughts turned to Fanfest and we've made a decision that this year will be a skip year for us. Since 2015 we've only missed one Fanfest, while also traveling to Vegas, Amsterdam, Toronto, London, and even going on an Alaskan cruise with some of our Eve friends before Covid. We even traveled to Iceland during Covid to see the island during the Summer months for a change. That has been a lot of travel. And while we had already bought our tickets for this year's event last year when they went on sale - a lot has happened since then. And not all of it good. Right now we don't feel that international travel is something we want to plan on doing. Add to that our own real life challenges and we made the difficult decision to skip this year's event.

So we will not be attending Fanfest this year. Just to be clear.

Not an easy decision. We look forward to meeting everyone and catching up with our friends every year. Most of whom we only manage to see in Iceland. So taking a break is not an easy choice for us. We'll miss everyone obviously. But I'm hoping we can participate in other ways and hopefully be a part of the spirit of Fanfest even from a distance.

Anyway, I have more news coming soon and I hope to get back to a more regular schedule of posting here in these pages. Thank you all for your patience.

Onward.
