Over the past month I've been testing out the features and capabilities of Suno for composing long-standing original songs that I have written. Most of that was just testing the limits and seeing how well it could do. But along the way I got bitten by the bug and decided to also start writing some real songs and one of the first ones I worked on was this long gestating concept written around the Laundromat restaurant in Reykjavik.
I can't just write a song about Fanfest, I need an interesting angle and a creative, different way of looking at things to get motivated. And then I remembered that the first time I ever met other Eve players in real life - was at the Laundromat back at my first Fanfest in 2015. After that it all started to fall into place. It took me about a month to write to lyrics and test it out a few times to find the issues. I probably burned 8-10 versions working out the kinks. But I'm truly happy with the final version.
Special thanks to everyone who appears in the video. You are all my friends and to everyone I've met at Fanfest over the years who do not appear in the video - thank you as well. I couldn't get everyone in there, or it would have been three hours long.
