In Extremis?

Alliance Tournament XV

Things are heating up for this Summer's Alliance Tournament. Yesterday we got a look at some stats from this year's prize ships a nd they are, as always, very impressive . This will be A Band Apart's third Alliance Tournament believe it or not. And after last year's Top 16 finish, this time around we are automatic bid worthy! (Forms and Plex already delivered.) I could not be prouder of our team. We've already been hard at work with our practice schedule for well over a month now and the rules are not even out yet. I don't expect many changes this year, but there are always the subtle things that you have to look out for. Maybe some point changes when it comes to certain ship types? Who knows. Solo PvP Ships Ranked

So where is the Tristan? I limited each tier to only six ships - which means there are plenty of good ships, like the Tristan, that did not make the cut. In the current meta the Tristan has lost some of its historic luster. Sadly, but it is the truth. It is increasingly difficult for any T1 Frigate to not only find solo content, but survive it once it has been found. That is just the reality of Eve today. So what I tried to do was create five tiers and rank the six best ships at each of those parameters. All-Around ships, like the Comet, perform under a very, very wide window of engagement. As do the other ships on the list. Those engagement windows are different for each one of these ships, but they are all very wide. And the Hecate makes it because it also can probe. Walking in Stations: Revisited

Was Walking in Stations an idea ahead of its time? Or an ill-conceived "look at the monkey" concept that died an appropriate death? Is it dead and gone, or could it be revived and restored? Will we ever get the chance to open the door to our Captain's Quarters? So many questions with so few answers. WiS was surrounded by questions like these before Incarna was released and it most certainly was after Incarna. Many of those questions remain unanswered, unresolved and buried in development that never happened and likely will never happen. Walking in Stations, rightly or wrongly, got wrapped up in other issues at the time of the Incarna release that doomed it to the dusty shelves of half-forgotten and abandoned theme development. 12th Annual Frigate Free For All

The 12th Annual Stay Frosty/ABA Frigate Free for All will be held on Saturday, April 11th in Amamake! So plan on attending, participating, and having the absolute best time you can have in Eve Online. Young players, veterans, and players who have never, ever shot anyone before are all welcome. We'll have over 10,000 FREE Frigates (and some Dessies!) to hand out in local for everyone. You can re-ship as often as you like. For SIX HOURS! Bring your friends, your corp mates, or just bring yourself. There will be streamers streaming and maybe even some famous CCP Devs on hand to shoot at in local. You never know what might happen during this event each year. It is the largest player-run event in Eve Online and every year we break records.
