PvP Chat & Shorts

Sometimes I kick myself for not recording my Eve Online adventures sooner. I can't help but think about all the amazing fights over the years that have been lost to the mists of time. Luckily I finally snapped out of that haze and started not only recording them, but sharing them every single day (except Sunday) over on my YouTube channel. As of today, 117 shorts featuring the daily adventures of myself and the Stay Frosty crew in glorious 3 minutes or less pulse pounding and often hilarious video.

I still forget to turn on the camera sometimes. I'd let it just roll all the time, but damn those files get insanely big and then I have to spend time scrolling through all that footage looking for the good stuff. I've tried it and it isn't fun and is a huge waste of my time. And time is precious. But it works out pretty well. I've got a hot-key set-up now that allows me to start the recording with two clicks and that helps make it not only easier but less intrusive. Before that I had to open up a program and that was a real pain in the ass.

So I have a system now and I've learned a lot making these. Not only how to record my fights but watching myself PvP has really helped me to be even better at PvP. Recording fights hasn't turned me into one of those people purposefully looking for content, I'm not doing anything different than I've always done. I play Eve the same way I have been playing since I first moved to Low Sec all those years ago. The only difference now, is that you get to watch me do it.

And hopefully learn a thing or two as well. Which is why I started these PvP Chat videos. These are what I call "Casual Tutorials". I take some older shorts and put them together in some kind of thematic string and then spend time commenting on them and sharing advice, learning, and mistakes. The one above is the second one of these in the series and I will be creating more of them.

Today I'll be releasing the second HELP! video as well. This is another form of tutorial video series I'm working on. You may have missed the first one in the series, "HELP! I'm Being Attacked In Eve" The new one coming out today is called "HELP! 5 Things To Do Before You Undock" and this series is intended for players as a brief introduction to more complex subjects. Much like my "Know Your Ships" series. My intention with these is to create brief, concise, and interesting content that opens up wider concepts, ships, tactics, and other ideas to players who may not have encountered them before. I find a lot of tutorial style content is either way to long or is buried in much larger content. Eventually I will be starting a more in-depth deeper dive series, probably this Fall, which will take a more concise look at some of these concepts.

Until then I appreciate all the support on the channel and look forward to creating more videos for everyone to enjoy. If you haven't done so yet, please be sure to subscribe to the channel - it really does mean a lot to me. Thanks.
