The State of Commissions

It is a constant struggle to balance Eve and my real life. Between my four boys, two of which are on the Autism Spectrum, the loss of my business and our bankruptcy last year, and starting a new job, among other things, finding time for Eve has been difficult. I am not making excuses here. I do manage somehow. Mostly because I am awesome.

Add to that mix a constant state of commissions for Eve related work and you have yourself a recipe for disaster. Which is what it has been since January. At one point this year I had nearly 140 projects on my to-do list.

Every once in awhile a paying project would pop up and I'd have to give it top priority. My family obviously comes first. This would only continue to push the Eve work to the bottom on the pile.

There is a silver lining however. So do not despair.

I only have 37 projects on that list as of today. And every single one of them are Eve related. ( Unless the short film script gets approved, but that's another story.)

So beginning tomorrow I am (almost) back on schedule.

I suspect I have two full months of working my way thru the backlog before I will finally be caught up. But so much of that depends on how many new projects arrive on my desk.

I just want to say thank you for everyone's patience and understanding. Eve and the community are very important to me and I will get to each and every one of you. I promise.

This has prompted me to consider some new rules, but I'll worry about that at the end of the year.
